University of Ottawa LL.B. With International Law Designation

It has always been the “conventional wisdom” that one does not and cannot specialize while in law school. This is not so at the University of Ottawa.

According to information in the Spring Common Law Bulletin:

“In 2005 uOttawa’s Common Law Section was granted the right to confer a designation in International Law as part if its LL.B. degree. …

By meeting certain requirements set by the university, law students will have their efforts recognized in the form of a designation included on their LL.B. degree. This, in turn, will signal that these students have committed to learning and understanding this essential field of law”

The University of Ottawa already has more programs than most law schools. This designation in “International Law” will continue to enhance the attractiveness of the school!
