Why change to a JD degree?
Canadian law students are increasingly pushing for a Juris Doctor degree, rather than an LLB, to get international recognition of their training

The next time you need to close a deal on a new home, write a will or seek advice in a family dispute, you may be sitting down with a doctor. Not a medical doctor; a doctor of laws.

Canadian Lawyer reports that Dalhousie is also considering the change from LL.B. to J.D.
